Incredibly written, super juicy and entertaining, SUPER spicy. Take this book for what it is: fun, sexy, sweet. But it still has depth to it! A fangirl’s dream of a 2-week fling with a celebrity who used to be a childhood acquaintance, some great and gritty investigative journalism, lovable characters, a dreamy LA scene. A guaranteed HEA with a real story that led up to it, not just fluff. But oh my god THAT SEXY FLUFF!!!
Literally my only complaint is the couple on the cover makes this look like a YA romance—the characters are in their late 20s and early 30s. SO.
Otherwise… this book was WOWEE. You’ll be sweatinggggg oof.

I loved the first 70% of this book. Honestly, as someone who is not a Christina Lauren fan, I was surprised this one was written by one of the authors. The beginning had me hooked. Then the third act breakup and conflict came along, and it was just all so exhausting. Things would never happen that way. How a couple could wrap things up so perfectly after such a tense situation is beyond me. It felt way too serious for the first 70%. In fact the whole conflict felt too serious. It felt like I was reading two different books, which is what I always found disappointing about Christina Lauren books. And the cover?? What is this cover? It has nothing to do with the story and really trivializes the serious subject matter. Blegh.

To say that I am obsessed with this book is an understatement. Sweet and sexy and just a little bit heartbreaking. I felt everything down to my fingertips.

It was sold as a very lighthearted celeb romance, but I found the content of the article the heroine was writing (which drove much of the external conflict in the story and was the main thing throwing the couple together) was very upsetting. It wasn’t bad at all (super hot sex), but it was not what I expected.
