What seems to be a good concept just falls flat. He tried to do too much. The narrator is more annoying than interesting. And I got bored. By the time the big twist happens you’ve already had a few and it’s just not a shocking reveal.

Just couldn’t get into it, the style was throwing me off

Holy guacamole. The last 20%. Woof. This story holds true to your classic “stuck on a deserted island” whodunit thrillers, but also adds some unique twists. There was A LOT of character development rather than plot points, which was interesting for the twists that occurred. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a slight change to a classic whodunit.
dark mysterious fast-paced

The unreliable narrator thing doesn’t work if you know it’s coming. He was trying too hard to do something here.

some creative twists… overall pretty bad

Don’t waste your time. So slow. Audiobook narration is horrible as well. I liked the silent patient but what was this?
