I really enjoyed this book. I was a bit surprised that it was so very religious but of course that is my fault for not reading it more, just grabbed the book and said let's do this! I feel like she did jump all over the place in it. I didn't feel that it read completely smoothly but to some point I did enjoy that. It's great to read something so different than what I tend to read.

This offered some interesting food for thought on how to balance the daily things in life, from career, family and faith.

Hmmm. Love her brother. Like her. Expected the religious talk and got it. Not possible in my opinion to balance it all. Something or someone always gets a little less.

I was not expecting her to write her life story in this book, I do respect her after read this... But the title and on going preaching about God is too heavy to be honest. If you want to read a Christian book pick this up if not don't bother.

Such a good read. Candace is such a fun person who is very real. She talks about life as a Christian in Hollywood. Though I don’t agree with everything she says, it gives me perspective into the life she lives. And I would much rather have her be a role model than some of the other actresses out there.

This book has been a pleasant surprise for me. I was worried when I first saw the cover that it would be directed only for women with kids or stay at home Moms; it was not that way at all. I enjoyed how Candace intertwined lessons learned from when she was a child actor (I had not known she had worked since the age of 5) and lessons from her adult life. I could personally relate to the struggles that she discussed (and example would be finding a balance in regards to downtime vs commitments). I also like how she would make chapters relatable for people not going through certain circumstances (E.g. putting your all into volunteering or taking care of the home if you do not work outside the home).

My husband I picked up this book also judging it by it's cover (he was looking for something to make fun of) and found himself very interested what what she had to say.

I have heard other readers say this was slow moving; I felt just the opposite and I actually had a hard time putting this down. I found this book motivating and not preachy and I found Candace's story and struggles to be real and relatable (with the chapter on working vs being a stay at home mom--I am not in that stage of life currently). I would highly recommend this book.

I have to admit that the only reason I picked up this book is because I was a huge "Full House" fan growing up, and D. J. was one of my favorite characters. We "grew up" together, and I guess that had something to do with it. Anyway, I was hoping for more of a biography, with a lot of "Full House" behind-the-scenes stories, but I was disappointed in that respect. She did talk about her time on "Full House" in passing, and offered a couple of anecdotes involving her fellow cast members, but it was definitely not in-depth or detailed.

As the title suggests, this book is more of a guide to learning how to balance family, friends, work, and faith, rather than the usual celebrity biography. Each chapter begins with a Bible verse, and she uses examples from her life to go along with the verse. While she has some good advice, there is nothing mind-blowing included, though someone who is new to devotionals may find some useful information. Most of the book is geared toward wives and mothers, but she does make a point of including advice for single women, as well.

Like most books written by celebrities, this was a very quick read. I think it would be a good book for someone feeling overwhelmed and unable to balance their priorities, or someone new to faith-based books. As an outspoken Christian, Candace does seem to have her priorities straight, and though she isn't perfect (as she points out several times), she does offer some insight into "balancing it all."

If you're just looking for a "Full House" tell-all, skip this, unless you're just a huge Candace Cameron Bure fan. But if you're looking for a quick faith-based guide for advice on priorities, give it a try.

If you are looking for a book with pointers on how to balance your life this isn't it. I grew up watching Full House, but had no idea this was written by someone from the show. However, you quickly figure that out as the book is just a story of her childhood and life in show business as a child...mixed with a bible verse every few pages. I get it, she's religious and a child star, but that isn't what I thought I was getting ready to read. I don't care enough to learn celeb names, so I dropped this part way through and started skimming to see the entire book was more of the same. There never seems to be a time when she says how she balance life, just that God helps her do it. ...that's not helpful, honey.
