A really challenging and graphic book, but it had me completely hooked and emotionally invested. 
The characters were all so messy in a way that made them feel so flawed and human. 
I liked that it started a couple of years into the event, it made things really interesting!

I really loved the premise and writing style of this book and I’m really upset I couldn’t finish it, but I had to DNF because my stomach is too weak for all the gore and general grossness. :(

My only critique of this amazing book is that the switch between characters was particularly challenging to navigate and keep track of when listening as an audiobook.

It's a very interesting story/concept about characters that aren't often represented in media. The violence and some of the more graphic descriptions I found challenging to listen to. I wanted to love this book but just something about the style of writing that I didn't love.
