My first Frances Hardinge that I wouldn't recommend. 2.5 unfortunately.

Well written with engaging characters!

Surprisingly liked it a pretty good deal, even after the confusion and irritation in the beginning =P I'm glad Mosca never lost that goose as it was one of my favorite characters

Of the books I've read by Hardinge so far, I would say this one is my least favorite, and I still enjoyed it so much. She creates such fabulous worlds for the reader to get lost in, and her characters are so charming. Mosca is such a clever child, and I really loved following her adventures. I even enjoyed Saracen The Goose. To be honest, I didn't expect to like the goose at all, but I was pleasantly surprised.

An excellent read - picked it up in the charity shop and am so, so glad I did. A new favourite.
