Okay. This book had me feeling everything. I laughed. And cried (a lot). This series has me hooked.
3.5 stars!
Aw man, it was so close to a solid 4 star read but that ending. I haaated that ending!! Tristan's relationship with the kids is best part of this story.

Oh Tristan Miles 🔥🔥 I loved every second of this. Tristan is top notch and I’m such a sucker for a reformed playboy. Claire is so incredibly relatable it’s as if I was in this book, from the chaotic house, to the insecurities about her body post pregnancy/kids. I love how Tristan really dove head first into becoming part of her little family!
I loved this storyline and premise and really just everything about this book! I was a bit put off by the main conflict at the end because I really sided with Claire and thought Tristan was behind a bit too much. I was happy with how everything was resolved and this ended up being a rollercoaster for me, I laughed, I cried and I loved the spice! I don’t know why I took so long to read this after The Stopover but I won’t make that mistake again! Onto the next Miles brother! 😍
I laughed, I cried, I chuckled, I rolled my eyes. Wouldn’t have given this four stars until the last several chapters took it up a notch (and I’m not talking about the spice)
This book was so fucking ridiculous. Are there really kids and teenagers like these in the world? I genuinely laughed so hard that my cheeks hurt. Jesus Christ, man.
I really liked The Stopover, the first book in this Miles High Club series, and I read a sample of The Takeover and just wasn’t into it at the time….Holy Moly I am glad I came back to give it another chance. I felt all the different emotions with this book. Spicy. Sweet. Hilarious. More Spicy. Good Banter. Happily Ever After! Seriously I was literally LOL’ing at some parts in the book!!!!

This was surprisingly very heartfelt, despite the incredible amount of smut. Just the beauty of growth that shines through Tristan in this story was so great to read and not what I expected from this series based on the first book.
I much prefer this one. It’s family dynamic, with themes of grief and loss and the toll is takes on your future was just well done in this book.
Claire is a widow running her late husbands media company. It is soon to be bankrupt and she takes a business getaway to France, meeting a successful (arrogant) Tristan Miles, who tries to buy out her company. She despises him and believes he is a bad person; however, they can’t deny their sexual chemistry and therefore strike up a strictly sexual relationship while in France.
Once they get back to New York, Tristan realizes he can’t get Claire off his mind and tries to infiltrate her life, hoping for more, when he finally meets her three boys.
It’s a great story with a complex yet completely normal family. It was paced well and nothing felt rushed. I really liked every second of this and would happily recommend to those who enjoy single-parent trope with a happy ending.

Tristan was a fun MMC that kept the story interesting. I usually don't love books where there are kids involved, but I did enjoy this one. T.L. Swan gave the kids fun personalities and I loved the chapters with them in it, but some of the things these Miles brothers say would earn a swift punch to the face from me. They did grow up without parental figures...which is my only excuse for them.
The ending was annoying and I did have to speed read through their third act breakup because it was so unnecessary, but aren't they all?
