The book wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. It took me a long time to finish even as an audiobook! I loved The Stopover and thought this would give me the same feelings, it did a few times but not as a whole.
Can't really be bothered writing much more which kinda says it all in comparison to some of my other reviews.

I really wanted to like it, but it dragged on needlessly and I didn't find the characters particularly lovable or interesting. Way too much time was given to her children.
Claire was too inconsistent, always changing her ming, often in the same paragraph, and then she expected Tristan to be immediately okay with whatever she decided.

Sometimes it was a little cringy but it wasn’t terrible. Listened to the audiobook. It got me through my workday
Better than the first
While I loved Jameson and Emily’s story Tristan and Claire’s story was everything thing I didn’t know I needed it’s been so long since a full on belly chuckled and cried with laughter in general and it was needed

Significant improvement over the first book. I was really hesitant to keep going after the lackluster performance of The Stopover, but I am glad I did.
This was just freakin' cute and I loved it so much. Tristan meeting Claire's kids for the first time was actual footage from my real life and honestly don't know if I have ever enjoyed a scene in a book more.
As a 30-something mother of three this book gave me life. It was so heartful and sweet and just ... all the things. I don't usually care for the single parent trope - there's enough children in my life without fictional ones joining the party - but Tristan with Claire's kids just melted my mommy heart all over the page.
I really just need someone to explain the plot hole where I'll let it go because I loved everything else so much, but that's entirely unrealistic.

a 9yo and a 13yo are able to take an INTERNATIONAL flight solo?! Anyone?!
I loved this story so much! The banter between both Mcs was hilarious, I was laughing so hard. Then in other parts I was crying it gave me all the feels! So good must read!
