i don't know whether to laugh or to cry
this was, and i don't throw this around lightly (surprisingly), really fucking bad
it's like the author is a time traveler from 2013 and also best friends with EL James. the relentless amount of laughably bad sex scenes made me feel like i was stuck in those feet scented foam cubes at a gymnastics gym. i mean seriously, who thinks that having the hero of a romance grab a woman's c-section scar and call it hot makes him the second coming of Bonetown Christ.
i'm going to go sit in a corner and wonder why so many of my subscribers recommended this to me.

Well, that was hot. Lately I've been enjoying stories about single parents finding love (again). So...where can I find a Tristan? Claire has three sons and I really liked that Tristan had to put in effort to gain their affection. Also, this story takes place over several months (big bonus!) and the conflict was so satisfactory. I completely understood where both of them were coming from and seeing them work out their problems like adults made me so happy.
Even since meeting Tristan Miles and hearing his epic one liner of moving heaven and hell for his woman I was eager for his story.
Tristan Miles was the ultimate charmer. The man who got whatever he wanted...until Claire Anderson, the woman that would be the one he’d move heaven and hell for and boy did he. He was just sublime. A total sweetheart. Passionate, fiercely protective. This man completely stole my heart not just because of the man he was with Claire but the man he was with her children. Seeing his relationship with her children grow into the impenetrable bond that it did, phew cue all the swoon. There was literally nothing he wouldn’t do for those boys and I was indeed a goner. The scenes with the boys were some of my favorites, they made me laugh, like literally laugh out loud at the unexpected ridiculousness.
Claire Anderson, man my heart was ripped in two when it came to her. She was heavily guarded when it came to not only herself but children too, understandably so. Her grief was raw and palpable. For that I truly emphasized with her but my gawd did the other half of me want to strangle her sometimes. Talk about emotion torture, she put Tristan through the mental and emotional ringer. I legit did not know how much more he would be able to take but he was unwavering in his love and it just made me fall even more than I thought possible. That ending though, Miss Swan I have three words for you: I need more.

I liked this so much better than the first more! The characters were much more developed. I like how it was a different take then the usual love/spicy book. The single mom heroin was wrote perfectly and the boys characters made me laugh out loud.
LOVED this read entirely! I woke my husband up laughing so hard with tears streaming down my face when Tristan meets the children for the first time. I continued to laugh and tear up through the entire book.

DNF’d audiobook because Claire was disgustingly judgmental towards other women
better than the first!
Mom of three, widowed, trying to keep her husbands memory alive encounters a Miles brother. It’s funny. It is likely better if you are a parent and around Claire’s age. Sexy and real. I’d like a little more conclusion wrap up but maybe I’ll get that in book three??

my fave of the series so far
Plenty of laugh out loud moments and others that would pull at the heart strings. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I did feel like the climax and ending held a bit of unfinished business between the two main characters but I was still pleased with the ending and totally predicted the little surprise.
