DNF'd at about 50%. This book reminded me as to why I almost always stick to dark romance. I can recognize why others love this book, but Claire and Tristan just aren't it for me.

4.5 ⭐️
i really wasn’t sure how i was going to feel about this book, i normally don’t like reading “single parent” tropes or anything of that nature so i went in wary.
when i say i fucking DIED laughing i am not joking. all 3 kids have such funny personalities i love them all so much. i was in tears laughing at their first meeting with tristian, it was HILARIOUS. and they had so many funny and cute moments throughout the book i loved it.
as someone with a step father i loved seeing the dynamic of them interacting with one another and growing into one family.
there were so many gold moments in this book but i’m forever going to love “tick … tok” and will use it now for reference when someone is goading me.
tristian so far to me (only the second book i know) is the superior Miles brother. the

Great book, random character named Uncle Bob shows up and now I live for these characters that just show up and drop off the planet for one purpose

This one hurt so good! Tristan is a wonderful man. He’s not a book boyfriend, he’s a book husband!

Tropes:
Single mom
second chance
enemies to lovers
Billionaire

✨ Kindle read ✨

Captivating

Soooo good. I could hardly put it down! The characters were so full of life and I was invested in their development and how the story would play out. Loved the ending! I hope we get to read about the other brothers in the near future

And then there’s Tristan freaking Miles!!

This book was both super steamy and hilarious and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

I loved every character that was introduced in this book. Especially the heroine’s three children, who Tristan adorable called, Fletch, The Wiz and Tricky. (Their names are Fletcher, Harry and Patrick) Tristan relationship with Harry is my favorite. Harry is so anti-Tristan and is a bit of a loon, and he does everything he can think of to drive Tristan not only away, but absolutely crazy.

The relationship between Tristan and Claire was hot, and I loved how T.L. Swan kept is real, especially when it comes to dating single parents. (It made me enjoy the relationship development between not only Tristan and Claire, but with her kids as well. It wasn’t instant family. Tristan really had to work and prove that he wasn’t just some rando that is gonna come in and out of their lives)

Tristan is one of my favorite book boyfriends. Not only is he wealthy, powerful, handsome, he is just utterly irresistible. He loves with his whole heart and takes care of those most important to him. When it came to Claire, he took care of her and also brought things to scorching levels in the bedroom.

The book overall was perfection. The storylines were perfect.
-Clarie running an ad company with her husband that they started. After his passing, she struggling to stay afloat so that she had something to pass down to her boys.
-Tristan longing for a family of his own.

I just loved every page.

Quick read! Loved this story but didn’t enjoy how the kids seemed much younger than their noted ages.

This book absolutely cracked me up. I already liked Tristan from the stopover and was happy to get to know him a little better this book.

The Takeover is about millionaire Tristan and widow Claire. Both of them are in business and working hard. But whereas Tristan is mostly carefree, Claire is trying to raise three kids on her own after her husband passed away.

The absolute highlights of this book were the three kids, all the shit they came up with and the way everyone tried to deal with it. Underwear stuffed in mouths, sugar in the exhaust, hair removal cream, cat pissed suits. I freaking loved it. And then having Jameson laugh his ass off.

Just as the Stopover I felt like the last few chapters were a little rushed, but I guess that's the way T.L. Swan finishes stories. It isn't my personal preference, but I'm okay with it.
