emotional sad fast-paced

Why did I wait so fluffing long to read this book?!? Idk if I’ve ever wanted to kick myself more

Tristan Miles. Not a man but a dream come true.

Tristan Miles made this book.

I loved Tristan from his appearance in The Stopover but he definitely showed a different side to his stern, rich man personality in the first book. He actually showed multiple sides that really made me fall in love with him. This man can be fun, flirty and boyish then at a flick of the switch be the dominant, ruthless businessman which really balanced the scales within this book seen as Claire was a brutal cow (to put it nicely) sometimes. Claire came across as a very angry heroine and as a reader, you start to understand why further along within the storyline, but this also made the story that more real, because her life is chaos. Pure utter chaos.

Widowed with 3 boys, 2 unmanageable pets and a business owner to a company that's going down the drain. There's basically not enough hours in the day and that's why I enjoyed this book so much more than The Stopover, which I didn't believe was possible. Some scenes are laugh out loud hilarious and others are pulling on your heartstrings because the majority of the time you can relate or believe the situation a lot more easily. Tristan is quickly pulled off his fantasy island, believing he knows what the hell he's getting himself into, when really he has no idea what normality is for an everyday family. Especially since every family with a middle child resembles a child like Harry. Tristan handled it like a champ and I rooted for him the whole way.

So, wheres book 3?

(Audiobook) Read this book (or listen if you can handle listening to sex scenes). It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me sad and happy and literally every emotion possible. Tristan is by far superior to his older brother Jamison (from The Stopover), and if he hasn’t made you fall in love with him with how he is with Claire then just wait until he falls in love with her boys. Ugh, I was literally weeping at the last sentence of the book. Seriously, read it.

This book was laugh out loud funny but also very very sexy. Yes its long and at times a vit angsty but 5 stars for the romance and comedy.

O rety, ta część była o wiele lepsza od poprzedniej! Druga połowa zdołała mnie nawet emocjonalnie ruszyć, co to się stało!

I don’t really know how I felt about this book if I’m honest. I had a good time reading it, it was fun and was a quick read, but the fmc was kind of kind of insufferable?

I really loved Tristan, the second Miles brother who we met in book 1. He’s funny and like the quintessential romance book golden retriever man and I think he was great. His job in Miles Media is to find companies they can acquire and basically just dissolve them/take them over. So to the world, he has the imagine of being a complete asshole when in reality he’s super sweet.

And I loved the Anderson kids, they were so funny! They range from like 9-18 so it was a fun range and watching them grow to love Tristan was so sweet.

But Claire, the FMC, was just… annoying. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely understand she went through an intense loss with her husband and that’s not something you get past easy. but despite her saying she was getting feeling for Tristan the entire book, she just seemed like she was finding any excuse to not be with him. And then at the end when she lost it on Tristan it just seemed super super unjustified and like the author just wanted to throw in a breakup because they hadn’t really had one yet you know? and then when they got back together it just felt way too rushed for me and then she was pregnant? I really enjoyed reading the entire story, but I just wish the ending was maybe drawn out a bit more or put more detail in!

I’m looking forward to finishing out the series and seeing if the other books are about the last two Miles brothers or if there’s a spin-off of their British friends!

okay lots to say

I liked this book a lot. I arguably liked it better than the first one. It had dynamics I had never read before like grown children, older woman younger man, widow etc. this book made me laugh out loud on numerous occasions which is not an easy task! But the #1 part I loved of this book was tristan. If you read this book read it alone for that man. My word. He is something else. Claire while great st sometimes can be extremely annoying and frustrating and I don’t love the idea of people needing to save one another but god does Claire need it because she’s a mess honestly. I would recommend it is a good book with a great story line, hot sex and funny main characters. The relationship between the kids and Tristan is incredible and worth the read alone. I’m interested to see how I feel about the next two books!
