omg this book. This fucking book! It was SOOO good. I literally loved the whole thing. The kids, him, her, ughhh, I loved it. now im not always the biggest fan of single parent stories, but COME ON, this book did it so well. We saw him fall in love with the kids, and the kids fall in love with him. And him and her <3, ugh, my babies. And when the boys went to Paris for him *cries happily*. love how he stood up for himself, oh yeah. All in all, this was a great book!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!!! TRISTAN!!! ***SWOON*** I love him so much I've read this book multiple times for him alone.

Man oh man I lovedddd this book! Could not get enough of it - I was cracking up the whole time. All the scenes with Tristan and the boys, hysterical. Ugh. Tristan. Swooooon. In love. Claire pissed me off more frequently than not but other than that, obsessed. Can we get another book on them please??

Barring the terrible (and I mean TERRIBLE) sex scenes, the rest of the book is pretty nice.
I loved Tristan's relationship with Claire's kids.

The spice in this was cringy to me but this made me laugh out loud and touched on some pretty sensitive topics.

This was so much more than a spicy love story! This gave me all the feels. I laughed so much, cried and swooned. So good!! Tristan fucking Miles, tick tock!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was very different from my usual read. This book follows along a widow who is raising her three sons alone. She is facing grief, financial hardship, guilt, and more. It was a beautiful read.

Did I cry? Yes, sure did

The Takeover had me laughing, crying and yelling at my e-reader. The Takeover is a gorgeous love story about letting go of grief, finding love again and making a family with the people you choose to love truly.

"All my life I’ve been prepared to do a job that not many people could handle. I take over companies and destroy them - take what isn’t mine. I hate that it applies to her too. She will always be Wade Anderson’s wife."

Tristan Miles is in media acquisitions for Miles Media, his family’s business. He meets Claire Anderson when he tries to buy her company, Anderson Media, which used to be run by her late husband, Wade. Her business is in dire straits but she’s trying her best to honor her late husband’s wishes by keeping it afloat. Claire is physically attracted to Tristan on first sight but really hates what he stands for. Tristan is completely intrigued with the fierce, angry young widow.

Tristan is a funny, witty, stubborn, warm and incredibly intelligent and loving man. He’s simply a great character.

Claire is stubborn as well and trying to move past the loss of her husband five years ago, in addition to trying to respect his wishes with regards to his business and raising their children - she’s put a lot of pressure on her herself and she’s exhausted. She’s at her breaking point.

When they run into each other again at a motivational conference in France their attraction leads to a life-altering connection.

Upon their return to New York, Claire is ready to say goodbye to Tristan, convinced that her life with her three sons is more than he can handle. Tristan is just not ready to say goodbye yet.

The relationship that develops between Tristan and Claire and eventually between Tristan and her sons: Fletcher, Harry and Patrick is simply magical, incredibly heartwarming and insanely funny. There are a lot of laugh out loud moments in this book involving Tristan’s interactions with the boys. There’s also angst in the form of the internal conflict that eventually arises in one of the characters. The character’s choices will elicit a lot of intense feelings in readers.
