Why doesn’t anybody recommend this on BookTok? If you read The Stopover, you should keep going and read this one too. Tristan’s dynamic with the kids was literally laugh out loud funny multiple times. I loved it! And tons of character development in this one.
5⭐️ Wow I loved it ! Tristan is such a sweetheart, and the single mother trope gets me so much ! Claire was a bit annoying but I can understand when you live trauma your brain doesn’t always work like it should. 10 outta 10 for sure !
5 Tick Tock Stars
Wow, this book is AMAZING!
This novel is entirely better than Jameson's book. I knew Tristan has a big heart when he was introduced in the first one. Who knew that he still has more in that big heart of his?
Tristan is known as a "knows what he wants and gets what he wants guy" but not entirely applicable and easy when it comes to Claire. It's not always an effortless feat to be part of an "already-established" family especially when grief is still present. But Tristan's tenacity, patience and love have always dominated and it paid off when the children finally accepted him, especially Harry.
Claire, on the other hand, remains loyal to her husband. Despite her love for Tristan, she's still holding out to her promise to her husband to the point of not letting Tristan adopt them. I admire Fletcher, Harry and Patrick's determination to fight for Tristan after the breakup and it truly warmed my heart.
Overall, Tristan and Claire's book is such a pleasing read that I want to read it again in the future. It's funny, witty and sexy... and yeah, Tristan is the ultimate and swoon, stepdad!

I wanted to love this book but I can’t get over the lack of flow in transitioning from one scene to the next. It felt so choppy. The storyline was decent at most. Steamy scenes were lukewarm. It’s not my favorite in the series but I did like the storyline. Just wish it was executed a little better.
If I could give this more stars, I would. I absolutely loved the first book (full 5 stars), however this one was even better. The characters are excellent - and very relatable (#MomBody, kids, all the balance of a working mom. This book had me rolling laughing one moment, and then caught up in a sexy moment another. Great balance of it all. Thank you T.L.Swan.
I also loved the little hints of follow up from the first book :)
