Tag falls fast and hard

This grumpy total jerk, melted my heart along with Maddie's. Samantha Christy knows just how to pull at your emotions.

I absolutely love grumpy MMC. They always fall hard and fast for the FMC. And to make it better, he is the type that doesn't "date" and falls in love with her daughter

This was average. Honestly I feel like it was just all too quick. They fell in love after one night and then they were just so back and forth for like a month and then she freaked out on him. IDK, I think this just wasn't for me!

Had an unnecessary fatphobic scene near the beginning.

““Overweight?” I say, knowing there must be twenty derogatory terms he’s dying to use. “Overweight?” He chuckles. “That’s putting it mildly. Let’s just say when she decides to sing, everything will be over.” “Your point?” “Do you think he gives a shit about her fat rolls when he’s glazing the donut? You think when she’s tugging on his dick, and he’s knuckles deep in her lady garden, that he’s thinking how she’s so huge he can’t even wrap his arms all the way around her? Hell no, he’s chasing the moon. Seeing stars. Praising the very ground she walks on.” I ignore all his crude euphemisms. “Are you telling me you’d date that woman?” “Me? No.” “See?” “Yeah, but I’m a vain asshole.””

Just as I guessed, this was my least favorite book of the Calloway series. The first half was so, so cringe with Tag's inner monolog. Literally unbearable at times. The last half was much better. Gigi was the best character.

The character growth vastly improved the story. Tag became more tolerable. I wish I had gotten more time with Maddie growing into her own skin and being more confident. That felt lacking.

Overall 2.5-3 stars.

I read this because of a kindle ad, but let me say. This was SO good. Tag Calloway the bad boy CEO of my dreams.

I'm beginning to think I'm a sucker for a single parent trope. They are so good.

The way Tag just starts renovating Maddie's apartment, I was about to cry. AH SO GOOD
