meh- some good, some bad-

Really enjoyable, funny, honest, vulnerable read. I actually don't love a lot of her comedy (although she was far and away the funniest part of The Aristocrats) but this felt more like just getting to know her as a person. Good stuff.

I like Sarah Silverman, and her book is full of stories about her career and her decisions, and her tv show (of which I really don't watch), but it's a cute read. However, she hardly mentions her relationship w/ Jimmy Kimmel, or her love life at all. It's also a very short read, with quite a bit of fluff, but I liked it.

Not super interesting as a memoir. Sarah Silverman's really smart, but, aside from the bedwetter business, there's not much meat to her story. I enjoyed the insight into what comedy passes TV censors - i.e., men's genitals, but not women's.

Silverman is very funny and the first 3/4 of the book was great. I enjoyed Silverman poke fun at herself and her family. I lost interest in the remaining 1/4 as she seemed to dwell on her fellow male comedians and their anatomy. I found it juvenile and literally lost interest...

I found the beginning of this book really funny, there were a number of moments when I laughed out loud in public and startled those around me. Although the humour dropped off after about a third way into the book, it was still an interesting read. Did I want a bit more humour throughout the rest of the book...yes. Each chapter was relatively short which allowed for you to easily pick up and put down this book. While this can be a good thing (readability wise) it has its negative as I don't really feel like I got passed the shallow basics about Sarah Silvermann.

Easy, funny read. I had just finished reading a very dark, tragic novel prior to reading this, so this book really hit the spot. Not a traditional detailed memoir. It's more just Sarah telling funny stories about her life. If you find her stand up funny, or enjoyed her tv show, then you will like this too.

Damn it, Sarah! You made me love you.

Overall I enjoyed this book. Definitely for Sarah Silverman fans, not for the faint of heart. There are some very funny stories in it. I felt that towards the end it lost some steam. It seemed like I was making myself read it, where as the beginning of the book went by very quickly.
