Luckily I didn't read it in bed, or I would have wet my own bed. From laughing so hard. I'd highly recommend being an actual FAN of Sarah Silverman's. If you find her offensive, you're not going to get it.
I found Silverman's tone to be cloying and forced. I can't see why people find her funny.

I'm a huge fan of Jen Lancaster, who included this book on her summer reading list. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Sarah Silverman is funny, smart, and relatable at the same time. I especially liked the stories of her time on Saturday Night Live and the creation of her own TV show. Definitely recommend to someone looking for a quick and fun read!
I didn't think I'd like this very much, but her interview on NPR convinced me to read it. And I did like it. There is a picture of a penis on page 209. Be forewarned.
I think no comedian will ever top Bossypants. And I'm not an enormous fan of Silverman to begin with. But this was funnier than any female driven comedy movie I've seen in the last two years, so it was a perfectly adequate diversion.
Although I don't really love vulgar humor I enjoyed this book. She was funny and candid. The parts about her career were not that interesting but I loved her childhood stories. The audiobook was amazing-- I love having having hilarious comedians tell me stories.
