I got exactly halfway through this book when I had to quit. I mildly liked the first Jackaby book but this one was just boring. There is something sort of flat about the characters as well. I hate to not finish a book but i think i'm going to have to quit this series because it's just not doing anything for me.

Another awesome installment in the Jackaby series!
Abigail is really coming into her own and Jackaby is ever the supportive and encouraging boss and friend.

I'm eager to see how the rest of this series unfolds:
How did Jenny die?
Who is this eerie pale figure?
Will Charlie and Abigail press forward in their relationship?
And what fantastic creatures can be expected in future?

I like these type of books. But the first book was much better than this one.

A fun read, it's great to read this book when you're busy because it's very light and still interesting

Amazing.

This book was amazing. Already pre ordered the next one and I can't wait until it comes out. M z

Love this series. The tone is distinctly Whovian: main character an eccentric genius with poor relational skills who is nonetheless endearing, friends who bring out the best in him, heroic derring-do. The prose is witty. Instead of aliens, there's magic. A fun read and I look forward to the next.
