Another fun installment in this series. I liked how the relationships in the book are evolving and growing. It was fun to see Abigail stand up for herself and go for what she wanted. And Jackaby just makes me laugh out loud. I can't wait to see the mystery of Jenny unfold in the next book.
Very enjoyable—just like the first. But I liked the first one more.
There was more focus on Jenny in this one and I wasn’t sure I liked it. When it became really intriguing the focus changed to a different storyline.
There were a lot of new characters introduced, and boy were they characters!
This one starts right where Jackaby left off, but it only solves one mystery and leaves several storylines hanging for the next book.
Will definitely pick up the next book!

The Jackaby series is really badly written, but they are so amusing that I can't seem to get enough of them! I like reading them so much that I'm going to order the next one in the series right away.
This a great series so far. Entertaining, great characters, a good theme, and great hints into the future! I need to read the rest of the series quickly!

I'll go with a really high 3 stars, but it deserves a round up. I've really enjoyed the first two books in this series and truly hope they are all this good.
For a moment I gave this book some side-eye for having the most openly feminist character brutally eaten...but I was won back by that crack about the Dewey Decimal System. It's OK, Jackaby, I don't trust it, either.
