Dinosaurs, Dragons, and Danger. Oh My!

Another throughly enjoyable read. Abagail and Jackaby venture out to a dinosaur dig site where a fossil has been stolen. Jenny is going through it, and Charlie makes another appearance.

2.5 stars.

It wasn't as good as the first book. I was hoping the story would get more exciting and to see the partnership between Abigail and Jackaby grow, but it was more or less the same. The mystery and story of this book was kind of boring. They introduced a few more characters, but only one that really stood out, in my mind.

It's actually a little sad because this book made me not want to continue the series. I can't see myself continuing a series where nothing happens from book to book; there just wasn't much of a mystery. Jackaby and Abigail did not spend so much time together and I think that actually hindered the books pacing. The good thing about the first book was the partnership between Abigail and Jackaby and how well they worked with one another. Beastly Bones was just not my cup of tea.

I am somewhat conflicted, because if I'm right, the 3rd book is going to be about Jenny's death and I would love to learn more about her and the events leading up to her death. I just do not want to be disappointed once more.

I like these books a great deal. Like, a surprising amount! They are fun and interesting and I especially love the creatures that are more like friends and family. Really fun series. I look forward to more.

This book was such a ride! Dragons, deadly birds, etc. I liked this one much more than the first! I loved how Abigail is becoming more sure of herself and Nellie was just a boss!

Another marvelous, witty offering from Ritter with the promise of more to come!

I enjoyed this, though they tend to be silly books.
Spoiler There was a bit of plot whole with no one counting the kittens, really? I also thought Hudson got off to easy for his part in things. Still, it was a fun story and the presence of a overarching bad guy and Jenny's story makes me excited for the next book

Actually banger 🫡 Glad we got to see some fossils

There were some loose ends, but hey, there's a third book, and I will be reading.

Amazing never wanted to stop even when I read the last word.
