The beginning of the book was good, intriguing, i was searching for lyrics of some songs but seems they were not necessary at all, or maybe i couldn't understand? i was waiting more Drama, More interesting and unexpected final but i was disappointed( in sum it was just simple, good book

It's books like this one that keep me hooked onto the YA genre and prove how awesome it really is.

Playlist For The Dead was an unputdownable read about a boy named Sam losing his best-and only-friend Hayden and blaming himself for his suicide.

The book is so on the spot about suicides and how much a person's suicide affects those who were near him.

As the story goes, Sam realizes that he's not the only who blames himself for Hayden's death.

The book shows just how many people blamed themselves for Hayden's death, the boy who had just one friend.

I absolutely loved Playlist For The Dead, and it's another book that's going to be very close to my heart and read multiple times more!

This is a fast-read. You can read it very fast and still understand the story.

The book is very emotional and personal.

The book is narrated by Sam, the best friend of Hayden, the person who killed himself and left Sam the playlist.

Sam is a character you get to know, which is unusual in a book. Most of the time you get a character and within one or two pages you know the guy. But with Sam, you get to know him throughout the entire book. Bits of his personality and the way he thinks.

It makes the book feel like a person telling his story.

Gotta love that :)

TW: Suicide, Bullying
Pretty easy and fast read for the days you don't have the capacity for a lot of plot twists.

Simple and predictable storyline, so might come off as boring.

Pretty much read this book for 30 minutes before bed for a few days and was done.

Disappointing ending though. Expected a lot more.

I liked how the chapter names were songs with the artist/band names so I'd play it first and then continue reading.

The book seems to have many layers. I'm not sure where the playlist falls into the story, but I enjoyed listening to the odd collection of songs while I read it. 91

The last three or four chapters actually brought some tears in my eyes. Didn't expect that at all.
