I liked the nature elements in this, I liked Ellery as a main character, and all the different elements were super interesting but in the end I was still questioning the relevance of a lot of items and didn't find that I had all the answers to all my questions

THanks to net galley, the author and the publisher for the ARC

Read The Unwedding if you like
-Big Sur
-Fancy resorts
-Weddings
-Locked Room Mysteries

What was supposed to be Ellery’s 20th anniversary trip turned into a solo trip to a luxury resort in Big Sur where a wedding was to be happening during her stay, only it never takes place. When Ellery discovers the groom floating face down in the pool and a storm causes a mudslide trapping them at the resort, Ellery soon begins to realize that this trip might not have been worth it.

I liked the short chapters and Ellery; she certainly stepped out of her comfort zone taking this solo trip but she proved herself to be extremely observant with everything happening around her.

Thank you @grandcentralpub for this gifted ARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

Ellery’s heart is still broken by divorce when she goes on a weekend escape to a high-end eco-resort near Big Sur where she encounters murder and intrigue, art and unexpected weather, and a host of unlikely situations and characters, all of which she resolves while being nearly murdered. I’ll say no more.

The Unwedding by Ally Condie is a twisty thriller you won't want to stop reading. Like most thrillers, it's hard to say much about the plot without giving things away, so I won't. But they are stuck at a resort after a landslide with a body. The main POV is amazing, and I can relate to the character immensely. The narrator in this one is perfection. If you're looking for a summer thriller while taking a trip, preorder this one. It's coming June 4th.
