This book was amazing - and I massively preferred it to the Hunger Games (and I never expected to say that). Although Hunger Games has more world building and time spent before the games starts, this book is just so much more fast paced and gritty. This is about being dropped in the action on page 1 and not coming up for air until the end. It was absolutely brutal, but incredible gripping and thrilling, and I loved every moment.

I have to say that I did get a bit confused around the names and working out who was who, but it was great that the core crux of the novel only focused on a select number of students. And I have to say that I adored the ending - you are left wondering how the book will end but the twists and turns keep coming and it was just superb. This is definitely a book that I want to reread again.
