Quite good for a short story liked seeing from someone else's view!

Unfortunately, I agree with many of the other reviews on here. It could have been better. ~~
I am a bit biased. As a child I loved Cinderella, watched and read as many Cinderella-esque books I could get my hands on. In the second Cinderella film, we actually see Anastasia (one of the step-sisters) desiring to fall for the baker, but being told by her mother that it is wrong to marry someone who is of a lower status. She follows the suggestion of Cinderella, who noticed her desires, to follow her heart. This character growth is beautiful and important and made Anastasia one of my favorite characters in the series. ~~ So in comparison, reading this novel felt like a massive step back, although it followed in her desires to simply fall in love, she spent a lot of the novel expressing her hatred and utter dislike of Cinderella (which in the opening just makes it sound like a biased perspective of Cinderella through her eyes, which I am furthering to believe was the goal?). All this to say, it was a cute idea, but poor execution.

Cinderella is Evil

Very short story about 40 pages but all 40 pages are entertaining! I absolutely loved reading the step sisters pov & a totally different view of Cinderella. A very fast paced read. I love Disney movies and this was a must read for me now I must finish the series.
There are two sides to every story. If your looking for a classic Cinderella story this is not it, read this is you like twisted tales.

It was interesting and had potential

I feel like the concept was interesting and the author could have done so much with it but tis was so underwhelming and lacking. The writing style was plain with and do not suit the dialogue. The romance was not built up at all. It could have been so much better

I want to start by saying how misleading I found the title of this book, it's a retelling of the traditional tale of Cinderella, but the title implies something that the book and plot don't match up with.

That being said, I did enjoy this retelling. It was a glorious little read and I'm so glad I picked it up.

The book itself simply retells the story of Cinderella from one of the step sisters POV, and focuses on their lives, which I was really impressed with. It reminded me that there are two sides to every story and that not everything may be as it seems.

The one thing that let this book down was the writing, it just didn't quite hit the mark for me, but I can gloss over that as I enjoyed this story so much!

I definitely enjoyed this story, I just feel irritated with the title and a little bit let down with the writing.

More like "Cinderella is a Brat." She didn't actually do anything evil.

Not what I was expecting

This was an easy to read tale. It was okay. I finished it in one night. I was excited to read a retelling of Cinderella but this lacked for me. I thought Cinderella was going to be evil but she wasn't in fact she was hardly in the book. It was nice to get a different perspective on a classic though.

It was amusing reading about Cinderella from a different perspective.
