It was amusing reading about Cinderella from a different perspective.

The premise is interesting but the writing is amateurish at best. The story relies nearly entirely on exposition dumps, all the characters are static and none are sympathetic. With a title that so boldly refutes the classically accepted interpretation of the Cinderella story, I expected Cinderella to have flaws that previously weren’t explored in other versions. Instead the author relies on petty inter-character misunderstandings. The most interesting part of the book was Anna’s relationship with her mother. In the end, the book did not live up to its title and the poor writing makes it an unworthwhile choice to read.

This book is poorly written with a cliched premise. Cinderella's evil step-sister isn't evil! Cinderella is just a brat and her older sister is just trying to help her grow into a proper young adult. I was really intrigued by the title, but it felt like a bait and switch. The story is basic and not at all the fun, sinister ride I was expecting.

Známý příběh o Popelce z pohledu zlé sestry Anny. Teda... Ona je Anna hodná nevlastní sestra a Cinderella je mrcha.
Krátké převyprávění. Nepřišlo mi to moc super. Ale jako oddychovka (a ještě v angličtině) to je fajn. Docela mě mrzí, že další díly taky nejsou free, klidně bych si je přečetla.

It interesting to see the other side of the story. Evil as seen on one side is not always the evil ones.

I was intrigued by the idea of reading from the perspective of one of the step sisters. This book was such a disappointment. It was super short like only 50 pages. Everything moved way too fast. In the end, her sister got the prince and Cinderella ended up with the coach driver or someone like that, whom she had loved her whole life but was never mentioned until Mr. Coach driver begs her to run away and live happily ever after. This book held potential but it ended up being super bad. This might have been the worst twenty five minutes of my life.

This was an interesting take on the story of Cinderella. Parts of it reminded me of the movie Ever After. It was funny to see Cinderella as a drama queen rather than a sweet, abused girl. The prince was a major jerk.

The writing was actually quite well done and the story was enjoyable. Short, easy to read. A bit rushed at points, but then it is a story almost everyone knows.

Short read but beautiful

It's more of Anna's story than Cinderella s
I loved the quotes about beauty and how Anna found her partner in crime ,Cinderella's love story got faded in the flow of the story

An interesting take on a classic fairy tale. A more balanced approach that makes the characters more realistic and more interesting makes the fairy tale more interesting. However, the approach leads to a limited story that suffers from underdevelopment.
