i mean at least it was better than the last one? but the bar was in hell so it’s not exactly high praise. the bad guy had legitimate motives and personality in this one! hurray! there was some genuinely intriguing suspense with the book shop and rec basement scenes which is more the king i know. it also helped there are some distinctly supernatural leanings that were teased at the end of ‘mr. mercedes’ that i guess will come to fruition in ‘end of watch’ so that was kinda fun.
jerome’s racist voice caricature whilst massively dialled back STILL FEATURED !! WHY!! so huge loss of points for that one. also way less women-written-by-men: i don’t think he used the word ‘breasts’ once so that was also an upgrade (also no n word this time! remember what i said about the bar being in hell).
honestly i feel like im in a dead end relationship that i can’t escape from with this series because you KNOW im now gonna read the final one just to finish this circle of hate. it may actually be another improvement because i think king’s at his best with the supernatural, i just hope brady is a bit more interesting this time around.

Mr. King it is supposed to be 2012(?) why are your twelve year old characters named Tina and Barbara?

Siempre termino demasiado rápido los libros de Stephen King... muy buen relato!
