I’m just going to start by saying, I love JVN. This book reads like he speaks, which in a way is fun. I could hear his voice telling me his story while I was reading the book.
However, this is also the worst part about the the book, it reads like he speaks which doesn't always translate well to the page.
This is why the audiobook is great. When I switched to the audiobook and it made a huge difference.

jvn❤️

Really really poignant read. I laughed and cried. JVNs quilt was my fav part of the whole book. All the heavy stuff was a gift to read but the quilt I'll never forget. Thank you for sharing your story with the world.

JVN is my hero.
medium-paced

I really love JVN on Queer Eye and Getting Curious. It was interesting to hear about his life.

If you love JVN, you will love this book. If you don't love JVN (yet), go watch an episode of Queer Eye on Netflix and come back to this book. I could not put this book down.

Heart wrenching and hilarious

It gave really good insight into what made Jonathan who he is. I really appreciated his being candid and vulnerability.
