It was everything and more. I recommend this book to any JVN fan, and really anyone looking to learn and explore what accepting oneself for your past, present, success, and flaws looks like. JVN really lays their cards on the table showing who they are and their best and worst, and that recovery and self-acceptance is a lifelong journey. A++

One of my favorite things to do is listen to an audiobook of a person reading their autobiography. And This one doesn't disappoint

As a book? Not great. But as Johnathan telling a story? Fantastic.

Definitely listen to this one, especially if you’re already a fan. JVN peels back the curtain of his effervescence and positivity to demonstrate the resilience it took to get him where he is today. Equal parts heartbreaking and hilarious—I both laughed and cried throughout.

I enjoyed reading Jonathan Van Ness' memoir. It was quick read, but I find I admire them even more knowing all they have been through. While it is clear that they are not a professional writer, their open honesty and raw emotion came through on every page. I find Jonathan even more inspiring after reading Over the Top.
