Jonathan has so much personality and I love it! Reading this book teleports you back to being a teenager - all the emotions feel so strong. On a more serious note, I know I had preconceptions and biases about HIV and AIDs, so this book is a timely reminder about judgement and understanding. Everyone has so much going on in their life and Johnathon showed their layers and contrasts clearly and openly

Really enjoyable book overall if you’re a fan of JVN. Honest, humorous and also very sad at times. Sometimes his tangents got to me a bit, but I love his message of self-love, beauty from within and the humanity in each of us.

What an amazing and incredibly vulnerable memoir this is. JVN shares his entire heart with us and it’s inspiring. Plus, he’s just downright hilarious. Everyone will be inspired by reading this book.

I enjoyed getting to know one of my favorite TV personalities! It's well written, entertaining, and sweet. I think all the little JVN-isms/slang would probably work better in the ebook version, but it's definitely worth a read.

Probably goes without saying, but this should be experienced as an audiobook because 1) it’s JVN, and 2) it’s worth it for his impression of Moira from Schitt’s Creek.

I didn’t think it was possible to love him more than I already did

"Addiction is not a life sentence."
I definitely agree with JVN's assessment of 12-step programs! And, I love what he's doing to change the stigma of HIV diagnoses and mental health issues related to trauma. Also, he's kinda' adorable!
emotional inspiring fast-paced

I love JVN with my whole heart I think he brings so much joy and self-love through the platform he has earned via Queer Eye. As a book it’s poorly written but it’s HIS voice through and through so as an autobiography I respect that. It seemed like the goal wasn’t to write a great book but instead to give his fans a window into his life and the pain he’s dealt with. I appreciate that because he’s so real and encourages his fans to be true to themselves.

Honest and open telling of his life so far, even when it is not flattering or happy. JVN's ongoing positivity and calls for engagement on tough issues balance the hard realities.
