This is exactly what I needed! Hopeful, funny, and surprisingly spicy, this is an instant comfort read.
Gene is so funny and the forever optimist with an extremely tender heart. Luis is an anxious, maybe more than slightly neurotic grump, but really he is such a soft lover boy🥺 The mental health representation along with the queer and trans representation was so well written and done with care🩷
I am such a sucker for a good “loathe” to love, especially when they’re mad at each other because they find the other so attractive (a peak and underrated micro trope🤌🏼). But I especially loved that we get the yearning and pining from both sides; it makes it even more giggling-and-kicking-my-feet inducing once they get together! And the spice???? The desperation and absolute NEED for each other was palpable through the pages. This is also my petition to have all authors write all of their MMC’s to be switchy and pathetically desperate for their love interest(s)🙂↕️🙏🏼❤️🔥
