If you like sports in your sports romances, this is for you. A lot of great baseball (the most romantic sport) in this one. Gene and Luis' relationship is lovely, though a bit slow to get going.

Summer is for GAY ROMANCE! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again! This book is tender, funny, sexy, and made me squeal out loud which is all I want in a romance. This summer is sports gay romance especially.
I loved everything about this story. Literally 10/10 no notes. And as a Baseball Person, this is in fact a Baseball Book.

the baseball aspects of the book at the beginning was a TINNYYY bit draggy and boring to me, BUT somehow the author had me so invested at the end i was cheering them on.
This book was full of positiveness, optimism, sweetness AND THE YEARNING. it truly had everything i wanted + more.
I love seeing trans characters on the pages of books because EVERYONE deserves to be seen and represented in print, and this was done so well and i enjoyed every aspect of it!
I immersive read this with the digital book + audiobook, and as an audiobook lover i wasn’t super fond of this audiobook. I would def recommend dual consuming or skipping this audiobook, but that’s just my personal opinion.
