Although I agree with the notion that it reads as a quotes book, it has been enlightening to follow along with Naval's philosophy and modi operandi. Will revisit the book at a later time to absorb even more from it as it is chockful with goodies.

Naval has contemplated and drawn on his extensive reading and life experience to highlight what worked for him from a philosophical, spiritual and business perspective. I enjoyed the candour and simplicity of it. As he says his approach is not very everyone but there certainly is food for thought, practical advice and some real gems in the book.

This book contains lots of raw and grounded insights of the world and human nature. I particularily like that he aims to distill conceps into their essence. Through this, I find reality easier to make easier of. I'm sure we all make life more complicated than it needs to be by overvaluing the less important at the expense of the more important.

A set of forumlas to live by. Found under the header "Life Formulas I (2008):

Happiness = Health + Wealth + Good Relationships
Health = Exercise + Diet + Sleep
Exercise = High Intensity Resistance Training + Sports + Rest
Diet = Natural Foods + Intermittent Fasting + Plants
Sleep = No alarms + 8–9 hours + Circadian rhythms
Wealth = Income + Wealth * (Return on Investment)
Income = Accountability + Leverage + Specific Knowledge
Accountability = Personal Branding + Personal Platform + Taking Risk?
Leverage = Capital + People + Intellectual Property
Specific Knowledge = Knowing how to do something society cannot yet easily train other people to do
Return on Investment = “Buy-and-Hold” + Valuation + Margin of Safety [72]

Lastly, although it's written by Jorgensen (or, compiled from transcripts, really), it still contains Ravikant's voice - which I obviously like because it's both direct and concise.
