I am absolutely obsessed with the surprise pregnancy trope, sue me! & let me tell you this one did it RIGHT!
We follow Logan & Leah who have known each other their whole lives. Leah is Logan’s little sister’s best friend! A few drinks, a one night stand, and their whole lives are about to change.
This it’s always been you childhood friends to lovers romance will have you swooning. Logan is the epitome of a caretaker & the way he slowly loves and builds a relationship with Leah was just perfection. They both have pasts that are rough & full of trauma, but relying on each other they begin to build a new generation. The found family—TRULY— was my favorite part. I definitely teared up at the baby name 😭 While this has a little bit of angst, it’s definitely an easy read & will make you want to cozy up & wish you had a Logan in your life.
🎧 This audiobook was done well! I believe it’s my first book by both narrators and I was thoroughly impressed. I found each easily understandable at 2.5x with the emotional moments really building through it. 5/5

I’m a sucker for a surprise pregnancy in a romance and it’s even more fun when it’s the result of a one night stand. I respected and really liked Leah immediately, her reaction to the pregnancy and her behavior afterwards felt really authentic and Logan was such a sweet man. I loved how well he took care of Leah throughout the pregnancy and the way they bonded over both having awful parents made their connection feel so deep. The found family aspect of this one was so good, I need to check out the authors earlier series to get the backstory but I really enjoyed how they all had each other’s backs. If you like low angst stories that are sweet and beautiful this was so cute. Both narrators were brand new to me but I thought they were both so talented, they really brought the emotion of Leah and Logan to life

This story follows Leah and Logan. Leah is the maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding, and the best man happens to be her best friend’s brother—the man she’s always noticed but who’s never seemed to notice her. But after a beautiful wedding, a few too many drinks, and a one-night stand, they’re both faced with the consequences of their actions. But are those consequences really all that bad?
This was so relatable to me right now. I’m currently pregnant and have gestational diabetes. I love connecting with a character who is experiencing something similar to what I’m going through. I must say, though, I’m not as hormonal as Leah is. I enjoyed how emotional she gets and how supportive Logan became—ensuring he listened, attended to her needs, and allowed her to ride out her emotions. The family drama on both sides added depth to their characters. I loved the intimate, spicy moments and the overall feel-good story. I highly recommend the audiobook if you’re interested; it was a great listen.
