Ovviamente no..

ughhh this was SO good. it is a lot better than the movie, now that i'm thinking about it because the movie changed up a lot more things than i expected! like, neville originally being a part of main scenes, peeve the ghost not making it into the movies, and many more! >_<

i loved almost everything about this book from the setting description to the adventures and magic stuff - i was really sucked into this world. having watched the movie also helped me visualise everything easily. like, the movie was literally playing in my head as i read this book. plus, everything that i was confused about the movie was all explained in here, which i appreciate. this being a kids' fiction also made me absolutely devour it in just a few days.

the only problem i had with the book is the way that some characters were described especially at the beginning (dudley and uncle vernon) which did not sit right with me at all. it's miseducating a lot of kids who read this book, which is why i am giving this 4 stars instead of 5. however, i do understand that this was written in the 90's when people did not give one, but hey ho.

will deffo read the next book soon!

Harry Potter's life is miserable. His parents are dead and he's stuck with his heartless relatives, who force him to live in a tiny closet under the stairs. But his fortune changes when he receives a letter that tells him the truth about himself: he's a wizard. A mysterious visitor rescues him from his relatives and takes him to his new home, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

After a lifetime of bottling up his magical powers, Harry finally feels like a normal kid. But even within the Wizarding community, he is special. He is the boy who lived

There is a dangerous secret object hidden within the castle walls, and Harry believes it's his responsibility to prevent it from falling into evil hands

But doing so will bring him into contact with forces more terrifying than he ever could have imagined.

When I first started reading this book it was for my son at bedtime and by the second night, I was staying up late to continue reading it. The characters are wonderful. The magical world that J.K Rowlings has built in this book is just wonderful and she does a wonderful job describing it and drawing you in. I can’t wait to continue the adventures with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Happy reading everyone!!
