I really like this one!! I love that it was told from the point of view of an Abramov instead of a Harlow and can not wait to read the next installment! I think I liked it a bit better than the the 1st but either way I have to say I WANT TO LIVE IN THISTLE GROVE! I am absolutely in love with the magic that Lana Harper has created in this town! Every time the magic is described I swoon and fall in love with Thistle Grove a little bit more! I don't love the sex scenes but I never do, I can overlook them for the love of the magic in this series!!! I am really looking forward to continuing this series!

Boy am I glad I stuck with this series. The first book wasn’t my favorite, but I’d already bought the second so I figured I’d give it a shot. The first book does a great job of setting up the town of Thistle Grove and a taste of all of the families. The second, is a much more exciting quest.
Despite this one being straight (pretty sure the rest of the series is queer and that is my strong romantic genre preference) the romance at the center of the story was hot and compelling to follow along with.
If you’re not the biggest fantasy fan, this book is a nice easing into the genre.

This series feels like approachable magic to me. I tend to get lost in all the fantasy aspects, and that doesn't happen with these. Plus there's a mystery to solve while people are falling in love and its just oh so fun.

Despite being extremely here for the spooky witch town vibe, I had the same issue with this novel as I did with the first in the series: everyone outside the main character—particularly, and most disappointingly, the love interest—was really underexplored and undercharacterized, like a cardboard cutout.
I am very much enjoying the stories of Thistle Grove, this being the second book. I will admit to a bit of confusion at first because I mistakenly thought the main character of this book was Talia from the first book. Turns out, younger sister.
The book was interesting and fun. I enjoyed the relationships in the book with all characters and how they intersect.
I can’t wait for the next one!
