Auggie and Henry’s story was a really sweet and cute romance, and another great addition to the Big Bull Mechanics series!

These two men were so sweet together and I loved that Auggie found someone, he just came across as being a little lonely and resigned at the beginning of the story. I struggled with liking Henry at first, as he seemed so focused on money and moving on to the next big thing, but I loved to see the effect Auggie had on him and how it made Henry reconsider his values.

Their chemistry was great and I loved how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other (or remember to clock out before being naughty in the garage…). I also liked the whole “ops, my one time hook up is now my coworker”, it added a little bit of tension to an otherwise low angst story.

Rear Ended had the usual banter and found family vibes that K.M. Neuhold writes so well, and I loved seeing the other mechanics again. It was a heartwarming and cute read that made me smile a lot!

Auggie is a hopeless romantic and Henry is just starting his life over. Auggie likes simplicity, quiet nights, and hanging out with his friends. Henry is accustomed to burnout, long hours, and luxury.

On the outset, they shouldn't get along. But they can't help being completely drawn to each other. Even with a rocky start.

The closer they become, the more Auggie wants to start building a relationship. But that's the last thing Henry wants. Henry has baggage that's hard to let go of. But Auggie is willing to wait him out - to wait for Henry, because he knows Henry is it for him.

Henry grows the most through this book, in all the good ways. His priorities shift to adapt to the person he wants to be, not the person he thinks he has to be. And I love that. I love that so much. But let's be honest, I relate real hard to a mid-life starting over story.

Something else I'm enjoying is seeing little snippets of characters we've seen in passing previously. I feel like we're building up to another potential series, and I'm here for it!

But for now, we have more Big Bull Mechanics who need to find their happy endings.

This one certainly wasn't my favourite of the series so far. It felt a lot like the author was so busy introducing their other series' and characters that Auggie and Henry weren't their main focus and that's sad because these two definitely deserved more time, attention and development than they got. Such a shame.

KM can not do wrong! If you've been a fan for a while, you meet Auggie in Stripped (4 bears construction book 6) where he has a hopeless crush on Demetri, so we've known his type for a while.
When Big Bull hires a new front of house manager, Auggie doesn't expect to find a past hook up with a different name! Henry is back in his hometown after burning out in Chicago . He takes a job at Big Bull, not expecting to find his hot hook up as a worker!
These two are sweet and adorable from the getgo it just takes Henry a bit to realize he's worth it and does deserve a chance!
Get ready for more fun shenanigans and swoon romance!

Cute MM romance with older MC

3.5 ⭐ rounded up for Rear Ended by KM Neuhold, book #4 in the Big Bull Mechanics series.

Auggie is feeling that maybe it's a case of "always the bridesmaid, never the bride" for him as more of his friends pair up with the loves of their lives. When he sees an uncomfortably out-of-place older bear-type in a gay bar and ends up taking him home for a hot hook-up, he's not that surprised when the guy runs off after. But then he turns up at work, the new office manager for the Big Bull Mechanics.

Henry's life has been turned upsidedown. With the loss of his company, high-flying workaholic city lifestyle, and the money to maintain it, he's forced to have a good luck at himself. A hookup turns uncomfortable first day when he meets Auggie again. But Henry doesn't think he has anything to offer someone, and doesn't plan to stay in a small town. So when he and Auggie start hooking up again, the plan is to keep it casual. But best laid plans...

This was a really cute, low angst, moderately spicy story with a look at what is important in life. The found family of the Big Bull Mechanics is as cute as ever. I just didn't feel as invested in these two as some of the previous books.

In this you'll find: MM romance with spice; 2 gay MCs; an older MC with a lack of self worth; a middle age life change with job loss and homelessness; a sweet tattooed small town mechanic; found family; a 5k color race; and a HEA.
