My first factual account of Harriet Tubman's life I have read. As I was reading, I could draw parallels to the inspiration found in the fictional reimaginings of the historical heroine. Her courage and unshakable faith is inspiriting in my own journey as an aspiring activist. The author's retelling adequately showcases Harriet's black girl magic.
