so... stanton is an asshole. but also a good guy. many people are being harsh with him in the reviews, but he’s just oblivious. And Sophia is awesome and doesn’t deserve any of the harsh comments here. Anyway - reading the reviews before reading this book was a bad idea and this book is actually real good

This story is one of the typical, you don't know what you have until you lose it.

Stanton and his high school sweetheart, Jenny have a child together. They agreed that he would not give up his chance on becoming a big-time lawyer and although they were in love that they were both free to see other people when he was away.
However, when he becomes a bigshot, he realises too late that he has been away too long and that Jenny is getting married to someone else. He is furious.

But he really has no right to be furious because he has been having friends with benefits relationship with his partner Sofia. They have very steamy sex and they have become some sort of comfort for each other. He invites Sofia to follow him back home for Jenny's wedding hoping that he would crash the wedding and they would get back together. Unfortunately for Sofia, she realises that she has been in love with Stanton the whole time and following him back home to crash the wedding of the woman he loves was too much for her.

I really enjoy this book but I have to say that did almost DNF it.
