This is a breezy read on motherhood in the style of [b:Confessions of a Shopaholic|9416|Confessions of a Shopaholic (Shopaholic, #1)|Sophie Kinsella|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1327872404s/9416.jpg|3237433]. It definitely took me back to the early days of motherhood though some of the plot was over the top. It's a fun summer tongue-in-cheek look at modern day motherhood.

Finished Confessions of a Domestic Failure today. I heard that it was going to be a funny take on motherhood but I was disappointed. The main character Ashley Keller is a new mom and like the cover says a hot mess. At first I felt sorry for her, I understand how it feels to be a new mom, staying at home while her husband works all day and she doesn’t have any friends that have kids unless you count her “perfect” sister that is everything Ashley isn’t. As I read I realized how she didn’t have any real initiative and really could’ve made her life easier if she just used some common sense.

Tedious tedious book. Very relatable topic. I love the Honest Toddler and so much of this felt familiar except the main character was so naive and stupid that she cycled through "not a perfect mom" to unbearable. Still liked parts of it!
