Funny. Realistic.
I do not have children, but I often babysit for my cousins two young children and can easily imagine this being my life 😂

Who knew Sophie Kinsella had a sister?!?! This book read just like hers do and I loved it!! I looked for more books from this author but didn’t see anything else that I was interested in. I am not a mom but I loved how imperfect Ashley was and the humor she had. I love when a book makes me laugh out loud. I wish I could find more books that I enjoyed as much as this one. Great ending as well!

So funny. Pure delight!

I actually checked this one out accidentally. I was going through hoopla and this looked interesting, so I thought I marked it on my wishlist there or whatever. When I went back a few days later I saw that I had actually checked it out. Not wanting to let a book go to waste, I gave it a listen.

Honestly, I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. But I just could not put it down. It was like everything I've ever wanted to read, as a mother. Because all too often I feel overlooked by my son and husband for the things I do to keep this household going, and I could never find a group of mothers to associate with on the regular while my spawnling was a wee lad.

Fun, light but utterly true story of being a new mom.

Well, I didn’t finish this book. I just couldn’t take it any more. I just couldn’t stand Ashley. I wanted to give this book a chance and I wasn’t sure I would like this book anyway (read for book club) but I wanted to give it a chance. At first it was tolerable, but finally I just gave it up.

If your a first time new mom, don’t read this book.

A little bit choppy, but a fun read. It's always nice to read about people who are worse at housekeeping and motherhood than I am.

I thought this book was hilarious. I was a little apprehensive, because the blurb compared the protagonist to Bridget Jones and that always makes me nervous, but she really did have a unique voice. Ashley is a new mom overwhelmed with the responsibility of taking care of her baby while her husband works long hours. She signs up for a Motherhood Boot Camp with a Martha-Stewart type person. Hilarity ensues.
