May we all have the same level of optimism in life as Becky Bloomwood. This book was FANTASTIC! I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it. Becky Bloomwood is such an interesting and fun character and I truly enjoyed watching all of her mishaps no matter how ridiculous they became (the Finnish scene had me in tears). I legitimately laughed so much and felt there was a tremendous amount of depth regarding the conversation about financial literacy and the easy ways common people can be tricked into debt from larger financial institutes and "experts". I look forward to reading more of Becky's antics in the rest of the series!

Listened to the French audiobook. Great, but the idea of anyone in London "Fairing la moue" is kinda silly.

A nice easy read. The main character’s voice is strong and believable.

What an easy candy beach read that's hilarious :)
emotional funny

This book actually made me laugh out loud more than once. It was so fun to read and I looked forward to reading it especially during long, stressful days. I will say the ending was very abrupt and, idk if this is just a reflection of when it was written, but some of the things Becky says about other cultures/countries were cause for pause, to say the least

BAH! Insufferable Ave FRUSTRATING mc, non-existent plot, no romance except at the very end and it's not earned AT ALL. I wanted to quit from the beginning but have read enough of Kinsella to know there's usually a really good payoff and lesson learned... NOPE.
