This book was sooooo much fun and it hits close to home for me considering I'm quite of a shopaholic myself. You can't help but fall in love with Rebecca's character. She is funny and very down to earth. She says the things most of us wish we could say and she does the things most of us wish we could do. No doubt her daydreaming ways paid off in the end! I also watched the movie and I enjoyed both very much. I am happy I read the book before the movie though. The movie does a different take on the book as it is set in New York and not London. The book is a very good starter book for the series. I will definitely keep my eyes open for the next books in the series.
Re-read this for the zillionth time. While some of Kinsella's later books are more nuanced, the throwback appeal of this, the first of her books that I read, is very strong.

It was painful for me to read this book just because Rebecca reminded me so much of my ex who took financial advantage of me for a decade. I was anxious almost the entire time reading it.
This book, i have to say, bored me to tears.
I don't find her to be very interesting in anyway, she's wayy too over the top. And I found the plot to be pretty uneventful.
Very typical.
