Welp, I certainly do still hate competitive sports for children.

I'm not sure how effective it is as a body horror. It's not a queer romance. Ren is almost unbearable. I couldn't put it down, I admired the ending, and I was... moved? But I didn't like it. I'm not certain I was meant to.

This was beautifully writen. I've not read a book that narrates like this before (albeit I have read THAT many books). The narrator just being so completely delusional as she recounts her life, with extra little bits of letters from our present side-character talking about what happened from her perspective too. It all really showed how brutal some parts of this book were.
