There were moments of ridiculousness, but all I remember is thinking I’d mention them in my review. Overall, very enjoyable. I’ve avoided it for years, but really liked it.

The premise is quite good, but really only takes about 2/3 of the book. Then when the main plot is resolved, it changes pace and kind of rambles on for the rest of it.

I like the main premise, but felt the device that finally gets Lizzy and Darcy together is not very imaginative. There were also points in dialogue where I had the impression the author broke out a thesaurus, hoping that less common complex words could stand in for the more formal language used in Austen's time (hint: they're not the same thing).

Reading the scenes when Thomas machinates the ultimate manipulation between ODC were difficult. I get why the author did it, but any man taking choice away from a woman about her own body does not sit well with me, especially considering today's current climate.

It was well written and a different variation for sure. At first, I promised myself I would never reread it. Now I have both a paperback and the audiobook.

It is an emotional story, following Elizabeth's journey and Darcy's confusion is just as difficult to witness. A good read though, if you brace yourself for emotional angst first.

4 stars. This was a really good P&P reimagining. I thoroughly enjoyed this from beginning to end. Some of the characters feel a bit OOC at times (especially Mr. Darcy) but it was never too much of it so I could let it slide. The essence of the characters was still there. I adored the plot of this and the development of Lizzie and Fitzwilliam’s relationship was so well done. It was absolutely romantic and I loved how absolutely smitten they were of one another. The ending was great and the epilogue was so beautiful. The writing was very good and it’s paced well. A lovely read.

Very good. Lovely story with a lot of love. I cannot talk about it too much without important detail being expose... but everything was very caring and beautiful.
