Redemption was my first book by this author, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Both Ash and Taylor may have had very different crosses to bare, but they definitely both deserved their happily ever after... and Carmel Cove was definitely the perfect place for that.
This town was the perfect place to rebuild their lives, and the supporting characters in this book were great. I love a good small town with a tight knit community

A Carmel Cove Novel
Bravo, Dr. Sharp! Bravo! I was so excited to find out that Ash was getting his story! Not to scare any one, this can totally be read as a stand-alone. I had read Reputation, where Ash and Taylor make their first appearances as secondary characters so to see them get their own story is phenomenal!
And what an amazing story, what a heartfelt and heartbreaking story all in one. This story gave me all the feels.
The battle of alcoholism, the battle for redemption and leaving the guilt behind is the main premise of this story. Then you also have survivors guilt and the unanswered questions that haunt those left behind.
This is also a story of love, forgiveness and grace...so much grace. The love (and lust, wink..wink) between Ash and Taylor burn up the pages.
I felt the realism and personal feelings and emotions from Dr. Sharp bleed through the words...the words "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." really resonate throughout the story.
And then to find out this is just a prelude to a new series of stories! Well that just made my day! I fell in love with all the characters in this story and cannot wait to see what comes next.
Thank you, Dr. Sharp, for sharing this personal story with us. Until next time.... #herestolarry

Enamored
At first I wasn't sure how I would feel about Ash getting his own story. He left quite a sour impression on me in Reputation. Luckily my curiosity got the best of me and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed a redeemed Ash and his love story with Taylor.

There are some very heavy topics on page in this read, but a good REDEMPTION arc for Ash! Taylor continues to be a strong woman and love the natural relationship between then.
Graphic: Alcoholism, Suicide, Pregnancy
This book tugs at the heartstrings and at the underwear
As a social worker, someone who suffers from seasonal depression, and someone who has watched loved ones struggle with their inner demons, this book was refreshing, raw, and real. Thank you for writing this book! It was wonderful to read. You really brought their emotions and everything to life. Thank you for sharing your Larry with us. In social work we always say, "start where the client is," I think Larry would've appreciated that.
Enough with the mushy stuff. I loved Ash and Taylor!
Ash and Taylor are beautiful and passionate! I loved seeing them come into their own and the chemistry between them was HOT

I received an ARC.
This is my first read of Dr. Rebecca Sharp, and OMG...I love it so much. So, so many life lessons. I'm so touched by the author's note.

In this beautiful story of redemption we get to know Ash and Taylor.
Ash is troubled and he is finding his answers in drinking. But he decides that he wants to do better and be better for himself and those around him.
Taylor is his sister's best friend. Ash knows that he has to keep his distance from her. But that changes when Taylor goes to him. How can he keep his distance when he offers to let her stay with him?
They helped each other to overcome some difficulties. I really enjoyed how they handle some situations. Their moments together were so sweet.

He doesn’t remember because he was drunk
Redemption is a standalone and has a HEA. It is a “precursor” to a series of standalones set in the Carmel Cove, CA.
Ash is stumbling around drunk. He used to be able to manage his alcohol but can’t anymore and he doesn’t remember much before he cut ties with his old life and then Taylor shows up on his doorstep for a safe haven. Taylor won’t tell him her secret just that she needs help.
Ash is a changed man and Taylor is still afraid to tell him her secret.
Oh holy cow there was a hot as ever scene. I felt like I was unraveling while reading it.
I loved Ash Tyler and Taylor’s story. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I will be lined up in May 2020 to get
Beholden. Laurel and Eli’s story. Although, I think I will be doing things bass ackwards and now read Reputation that was written prior to Redemption.
