FEELING REALLY NORMAL AND REGULAR!!!! I DONT EVEM CARE!!!!! IT DOESNT BOTHER ME AT ALL!!!!
I only ever heard good things about this book and I really enjoyed it. The leaps from lyrical prose to pew pew pew battles is really all that I could ask for in a book like this.
Full disclosure, the prequels aren't my jam. I read this book under duress as part of a book club. Surprisingly, it won me over. I thought it was written in a unique style that added the grandiose and heart break that the movie was lacking.

4.5 stars. Excellent adaptation. I loved the extra dialogue, but didn't like some of the changes of the movie dialogue. It gives much more context to Anakin's fall. Highly recommend audiobook.
Simply one of the best film novelizations I’ve ever read.
Really good, my favourite Star Wars book(so far). It feels like so much more than a movie tie in. There’s so much care put into making you understand each character.
Mace Windu was a stand out for me in this book. I’ve never been interested in him as a character. But this makes me really want to go and read Matthew Stovers “Shatterpoint”

I have to echo a friend who said, “This isn’t just a good Star Wars book, it’s a good book.” As much as I enjoy Star Wars books, they often have a bit of a cookie-cutter feel in terms of style and tone. Not so here. Achingly lovely prose that’s not afraid of taking risks, richly detailed characterizations, powerful and heartbreaking and deeply meaningful in its tragedy — this is everything the movie tried to be. Thank you, Matthew Stover, for not only fixing the movie’s flaws, but for telling this story with such obvious love and care. The insidiously subtle way that Palpatine groomed Anakin made his fall far more understandable and therefore far more devastating. Anakin and Padme’s love finally felt true and passionate to me. And perhaps this is my recent viewing of the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” tv series speaking, but I have to commend the nuanced way Stover handled this popular character. And I especially appreciated how the Jedi Order slowly realized their hypocrisy — they’re all attached to someone or something, they all cling to outdated ideas. Stover absolutely made the most of everything this story has to say about love that destroys and fear that blinds.
The audiobook, with its fantastic sound effects and phenomenal voice actor, was a particularly great experience. The only thing that drove me crazy was how the narrator kept pronouncing Padme’s name as “Pod-may.” No character or fan ever has said her name that way.
