Well you guys I did it, I finally read a whole book in isolation. Was it a bit laissez faire about murdering corrupt politicians and am I worried I read a MAGA book? Yeah, yeah I am. But all that is overshadowed by the fact I got through a whole book!
This was a detailed action packed mystery. I listened to it in audio and wow did the narrator do an amazing job!!!! The story itself started out really great and I could hardly wait to get back to it. But eventually it kind of started dragging on and on and I became impatient for it to be over. The twists and turns just became garrulous after awhile and what I had started off looking forward to getting back to I began just wishing it was over. Great first book of a beginning self published author. I will definitely try another one by Flynn.

Worst Rapp yet. Sloppily plotted, meandering mess. I could tolerate the right-wing rant tangents in the previous Rapp novels because they were sort of in the background, while the story was key. But in this one is total propaganda - culminating in the RIDICULOUSLY silly hearing in the Senate in which Mitch tries to point out a senator's "hypocrisy" for not letting him do whatever the f&#k he wants to "save lives," while she supports partial-birth abortion. The fallacies here are numerous. Just a terrible book.
Vince Flynn's political thriller certainly thrills, but is dragged down by his Ayn Randian method of dividing the world into the Spines and the Worms. Nearly every single character in the novel was either an upstanding individual with pristine integrity, or a conniving liar devoid of morality. And in the end, the novel heavily condoned the outright murder of these politicians or operatives that lacked integrity.
'Term Limits' is a fantasy in which if the world isn't the way you like it, you can punch, torture, and murder your way to a better reality. The Romans did that, and I guess it worked out for a thousand years or so, but that just isn't how it is done in America to my knowledge, and I didn't like seeing it envisioned. This base ideology is exactly what led to the capitol riots on January 6th, 2021.
In short, 'Term Limits' is a novel in which the serial killers not only win, but are portrayed as true men of character.

Wow. I enjoyed this! Kept me glued from start to finish. Gave a little insight on American politics.
I recommend if you like political thrillers.

Great book! Had to be my favourite of the Rapp series. Flynn kept the action going right until the last few pages. I would recommend the entire series to anyone. I was lucky to only pick up on the Rapp series with the release of [b:American Assassin|7959473|American Assassin (Mitch Rapp #11)|Vince Flynn|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1282009169s/7959473.jpg|11771611], which is the prequel to the series, and since then Flynn has kept me reading into all hours of the night!
The book was ok. Some of the characters were very annoying, this spoiled the book for me. The premise was interesting.
The premise of this book is incredible. A group of assassins that are tired of the politics of DC take out 4 key members of Congress and then let it be known that if the President and Congress do not balance the budget, get rid of the deficit and stop all wasteful programs then more people will be assassinated maybe even the President. WOW!!! I really enjoyed the book but when I got to the ending (and I am going to date myself with this reference) I could not help but think of the movie Capricorn One. In this movie they fake a Mars landing and when the rocket is destroyed at reentry they want to kill the astronauts to prevent the truth from coming out. The astronauts realize they just have to get some where they can be seen. When you get to the end of the movie which I loved the real story of what would happen next is not covered as the movie just ends and that's where this book is the same. You have this amazing story that sort of has an end but like the movie the books does not cover the fallout of the events that have taken place. Both this book and the movie could easily have a sequel that details the next events that would have happened.
