Although I was pleased to find many of the same supporting characters were in this first Vince Flynn novel, it wasn't the same without Mitch Rapp. I know, that's what I get for reading them out of order. Still, it was a fast-paced, good plot. Enjoyable read.
You could never call any of his books boring, that's for sure. Loved it. . .
I picked this up on a recommendation, as mental-floss and distraction from the issues of the day, and finished it quickly. It is almost, but slightly better than any generic novel of the currently popular "ex-SEAL saves the day" genre of political thrillers. Interesting and surprising plot twists. Well written. Descriptive. It fulfilled my intended use almost perfectly.
Very fun read! It's like an episode of 24. It has it all--corrupt politicians, clean politicians, the FBI, the CIA, government-hired assassins, etc. Light, non-taxing reading, but very fun.

Despite its cliched storyline and amateur-ish writing, Flynn's debut, Term Limits, turned out to be a pretty decent book with an interesting political view. With its fast paced and action packed scenes, Flynn sure knows how to maintain the suspense and keep readers at the edge of the seats, craving for more. I'm definitely looking forward for further works by this author.
