Really loved that she came back a few times over the years for updates, especially when she had a better understanding of the monster that Bundy really was. Interesting to see someone grapple with learning their friend is a killer.

Hmm, well I’m not quite sure why I read this. I would say 6/7 years ago I was obsessed with true crime. I listened to a lot of Last Podcast on the Left.

*true crime*

I was disappointed. I think I was expecting a true crime podcast or documentary in print, with the twist that the author actually knew the killer. This was more of a broad (and very long) survey of the Ted Bundy saga. You didn’t get to know any of the victims and all of their stories felt glossed over. Maybe that’s a function of there just being so many of them…I’m not sure. But I found myself bored and scanning through a lot of the book. Every time there was another added epilogue I groaned inwardly.

Was an interesting read. I didn't end up reading past afterword as I lost interest. The version I read only had 518 pages.
