It was the doctor all along. And all those marriage proposals, which all turned out to be real? Poor Lucy Eyelesbarrow and all those guys hinting heavily at marriage. Creepy! Another fun Christie romp.

ps. I love the idea of Ms. Marple twinkling!

It surprises me that Agatha Christie's writing style is not the one i would consider as "my cup of tea". I don't know if this was lost in translation, but i dont think everything written too literally is the fault of the translation. Yeah, the writing style is kinda bland, and compared to some mystery books ive read, it didn't really build up some tension. The good thing coming out from the bland af writing style is that i could read this book fast enough that i finish this in one-sitting.

Originally i want to give this book 3/5, but i love the characters (which has dimensions and diverse in some way), and i love the plot and the plot twists! Too bad that there are not really much "hint" that would making the readers go 'Aaah' at the last page, but that's kinda forgiveable tho.

So overall, 3.5/5. I think i'd check her other books later but not anytime soon.

Agatha Christie has a way of pulling the rug under you. At least here I was right about the culprit, but the details as always blindsided me.

3.5 stars

I enjoyed every minute of this read until the very end which I found a little abrupt and not very plausible. Unusual for Christie, but it does happen. Would have been a 4 star with a more thorough ending.

Read this in one day. It was delicious, I didn't get bored or want to read anything else once. I love Lucy Eyelesbarrow, I wish there were more novels with her in.

Not as good as I would have liked... A bit disappointing....

Not a lot of Marple and I feel like the way the crime was solved required almost no previous sleuthing and could have been done from the beginning.
I also felt like the doctor was never a suspect to me because we got so little time actually talking to him
