3-3.5 stars for me. Miss Marple wasn’t present for most of the book but I still enjoyed it. The ending came out of nowhere for me and it wasn’t explained how they figured out the real murderer.
I also noticed that Miss Marple took a lot of first class train rides so she could try to figure out what really happened. She also offers to compensate Lucy if the new family doesn’t pay her enough. I assumed she was on a fixed income and her nephew helps out. That is just me doing my own sleuthing ☺️

Un libro che pecca unicamente di poca linearità, perché per il resto è davvero meraviglioso. Peccato per la presenza quasi infinitesimale di Miss Marple, che comunque si rivela il tipo di vecchietta che un giorno vorrei essere.
Listened to this one on our trip to Seattle. I would give it 3.5 stars (if I could!). Miss Marple is the detective in this one, though her role seems awfully small in the book. It was a pretty good whodunit, Avery and I kept discussing who we thought it was and, in the end, we were both wrong! Bonus star for fooling us!

This was another great mystery. I do love a good Miss Marple mystery - and I loved the idea of just a chance passing of 2 trains and really struggling with what you possibly saw.
I also love this book was from the passenger's POV and you got more of her story than Miss Marple's story. Such a good way to tell it. Loved this one.
