Classic Marple. Agatha Christie likes to throw you off almost the entire read but as Miss Marple says, 'Murders so often are quite simple'. Did keep me guessing till the very end. Genuinely, didn't see it coming.

Eh, your standard Christie with impeccable plotting, lovable characters (except for Marple because I hate her) and a charming setting.

Guess what???????I actually guessed the murderer when I was halfway through this one.

Love Lucy Eyelesbarrow! I understand this is one of Marple's later cases so we got more development for her. Yay. Wish we got to see more of Mrs McGilllicuddy though. Sigh.

Nice plotting and pacing though, I honestly didn't see some of the twists coming. (I guessed purely on female intuition.)

I don't know what else to say except that I wish this was not a Marple case but simply a Lucy Eyelesbarrow one. Which it was since she practically did nothing till the end.

But I wish I had a copy of this one to snuggle with and read on a rainy day.

Still a cozy fun time, the conclusion just didn't feel as clean and well-laid to me.

While the story as a whole was atad slow-moving, I really did not see who had done it. So many red-herrings. Love it!
